IRIS Users

IRIS user accounts will be automatically set up for the following groups of staff/students:

User Group Login to the Backend to add content Profile set up and displayed on Public Portal
Professoriate* and Research Academic Staff# (Full-time and fractional) Yes Yes
Instructional Staff^ (Full-time and fractional) Yes Yes
Emeritus Professors Yes Yes
Research Staff (Full-time) Yes No
Research Postgraduate Students (Full-time and part-time) Yes No

*Assistant Professor and above
#Research Assistant Professor and above
^Lecturer grade and equivalent staff: e.g. Assistant Lecturer and above, Clinical Lecturer, Professional Consultant, Teaching Fellow

 

User Account Application

IRIS user accounts will be set up for the following groups of staff/students on a request-and-need basis:

  • Research Staff (Part-time)
  • Administrative staff with publications
  • Taught Postgraduate students
  • Others as deemed appropriate by the University

Faculty/Department Administrators

Faculty/Department Administrator accounts are assigned based on the nominations from the Faculty/Department Management, for assisting in the handling of research information in IRIS. More details on user accounts will be announced in due course.
